Preston Davis

President

Preston studied fine furniture and cabinetry at Pittsburg State University. He has had his own company doing remodeling work and carpentry in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. In 2006 he helped start an AV company in Manhattan, KS. He has been in the industry ever since and enjoys blending architecture and technology into everyday life. After designing and implementing home automation systems in some of the finest homes in the Midwest, he and his family wanted to move back to Hawaii, where he met his wife in 2004. He enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and dog Kona and exploring all the island has to offer. He is our leading systems designer and custom project specialist.

Kirill Basin

CEO

Kirill Basin is a dynamic leader with an eclectic background, a testament to his innovative spirit and passion for social impact. Born in Ukraine, Kirill moved to the US at age five and pursued his education at Rutgers and NYU Law. After a meaningful stint in public defense and impact litigation, he led a 3000-strong healthcare company, significantly improving patient outcomes. His innovation streak didn’t stop there; Kirill co-founded a successful sobriety lifestyle app, and as an investor, he actively supports tech start-ups pushing boundaries. Now, as the co-owner of eDesign, Kirill continues to create, innovate, and inspire, charting a unique career path that’s distinctly his own.

Sean Bilbrey

Salesman

Sean studied commercial graphics at Pittsburg State University and has a background in commercial and residential AV. Sean has worked with multiple audio-visual groups and has accrued many facets over his twenty years in the business. He originally hails from Kansas City, Kansas but is enjoying his life in Hawaii with his family and two dogs. He thoroughly enjoys the nature of technology and can bring new aspects of it into people’s lives every day.

Pat Brady

Accounts Manager

Pat received a B.S. in Marketing and Accounting at Louisiana State University, and is a long-time resident of Maui. She enjoys playing music, traveling abroad, and learning foreign languages.

Light Maleski

Design and Engineering

Light studied Aerospace Engineering at Virginia Tech and is a long-time resident of Hawaii Island and Maui. He is responsible for ensuring all our Field Techs have what they need to get the job done right from project planning, network, and AV system topography design, in-house technical support, and project management. Light stays one step ahead of the installations and keeps things on track until finished and into the future with any service needs.

Michael Moscati

Warehouse Manager

Michael is originally from Niagara Falls, NY. He has lived in Hawaii for 21 years. He has a BA and MA in History, and served in the United States Marine Corps.

Mike Wolff

Service Manager

Mike started with residential in Dallas, TX for thirteen years ending in the role of service manager. He followed his wife to Idaho and joined a commercial AV firm that is leading the continental northwest. Gained the role of Project Manager for larger projects and worked hand in hand with clients, designers, and engineers to create work environments that work with a touch. He moved to Maui, where his wife is starting a horse therapy program for disabled children. Joining with eDesign has brought him back to his industry roots, and the best part of the job, the interaction with the clients.

Mike Rankin

Kauai Project Manager

Certified Pakedge Network Administrator, Control4 Associate Installer, and Certified Automation Programmer.

Mike has been with eDesign since early 2016. Mike is excited about technology and all that it offers. He is constantly finding new ways to grow and learn in this ever-changing technological world that we live in. Mentored by some of the best techs in the business, Mike is not only highly skilled as a technician, but he also has a profound ability to meet our client’s needs each and every time.

Eric Shave

Project Supervisor

Eric is a computer and electronics technician who recently joined eDesign after moving to Maui from NY. He studied computer programming at SUNY Saratoga, as well as received soldering certification through Weller at Schenectady College. He loves keeping up on the latest tech and is excited to bring his skills to the eDesign team and their clients.

Shayne Matthews

Lead Technician

Shayne worked in the construction industry as a carpenter and in other capacities for his entire career before joining eDesign. He loves bringing his project savvy and high energy to the fulfillment of smart home projects large and small. Shayne is an extremely skilled programmer and lead technician who can successfully deliver your projects on time and under budget.

Jessica Portenier

Technician

Jessica comes to Maui from Arizona. Since coming to Hawaii, she has found a new passion in coffee and gardening. Working in technology is her favorite occupation, as it is constantly advancing. Jessica holds a BA in International Affairs from Northern Arizona University. She is one of our (motorized or manual) shading experts for eDesign and loves to bring design and aesthetic consideration to the craft of window treatment installation and execution.

Shane Borge

Technician

Shane is a Maui boy who hails from Waikapū. He’s always up for a challenge, and starting in a new field with a great company like eDesign seemed like a good fit. You might recognize his face if you’ve seen any local theater productions as an actor or a Maui Onstage Board member.

Mike Dau

Technician

Even though he is a new resident of Maui, he is not new to the Hawaiian culture. Mike D. lived on Oahu for the past 35 years and has worked alongside many other trades. He ran a cleaning crew for fleet maintenance for a rental car service company for almost 20 years before coming to Maui but is very construction savvy and project leadership oriented. He is easygoing, loves learning, and is always willing to help.

Agafe Abueme

Architectural Design and Documentation

I studied Computer System Design and Programming and Civil Engineering at the University of Visayas. I worked in construction as a drafter since 2011. In my free time, I enjoy scripting where I make AutoCAD Plug-ins and other basic automation. In eDesign, I am part of the System Design Process which I make project documentation like proposals, Schematic Diagram, Rack Elevation, Device Location Exhibit, and Schedule of loads.
