Job Summary:

The Custom Project Specialist is the point person for developing and nurturing our relationships with clients and industry partners, essential to the growth and continued success of eDesign. The Custom Project Specialist will utilize their broad technical knowledge and highly developed interpersonal skills to guide homeowners, builders, architects and designers towards specific technology solutions that perfectly match their needs and desires.

 

Daily/Weekly Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Seek Out Potential New Clients or Business by Any and All Necessary Means.
  • Manage and Maintain New and Existing Accounts.
  • Establish and Maintain Relationships with Contractors and Subs.
  • Meet with Sales Manager Weekly to Review All Sales to Date and Plans and Activities Moving Forward to Keep Pace with Sales Goals.
  • Meet with New Clients and Define Scope, Budget and Timeline.
  • Keep CRM System Up to Date to Track Client Activities Such as Email, Appointments, Follow-ups, Etc.
  • Work with the Design and Engineering Team to Provide Accurate Quotes and System Designs.
  • Interface with Administration and Project Manager to Ensure Quality Delivery of Final Product and Customer Satisfaction.
  • Upon Project Completion, Review Final Docs, As-Builts, Etc. With the Sales Manager, Field Operations Manager and/or Lead Technician.
  • Manage the Sale (I.E. Bid Process, Proposal and Submittal Process, Consistent Follow Up, Signed Contract, Receive Money Before Scheduling Any Work).
  • Project Site-Visits as Needed to Meet with Client and Review Progress/Changes.
  • Maintain Excellent Internal Communication with all Team Members Involved.
  • Assist Production with System Sales, Project Coordination, Product Integration and Architectural Coordination.
  • Assist in the Review of other Proposals and Change Orders From Other Sales Staff Prior to Delivering to Clients.
  • Assist in Accounts Receivable Collection When Needed/Requested by AR.
  • Assist in the Facilitation of the Final Client Walkthrough Training and Signoff.
  • Review and Reconcile Hours and Proposal with Operations.
  • Sell EDGCare Plans and Develop Pricing Based on Client, Project Size and Overall Scope of the Project.

 

Quarterly & Annual Activities:

  • Ensure the Pipeline Does Not Run Dry and Maintain a Consistent Flow of Sales.
  • Maintain Healthy Sales Goals and Quotas to Ensure the Success of eDesign.
  • Maintain Growth Strategies Relevant to Current Market Trends and Adapt Our Sales Process to any Global and/or Local Market Changes.
  • Develop Marketing Strategies for Monthly and Quarterly Deployments.
  • Client Follow-Ups After Project Completion Every 15/30/90 Days.
  • Prospect Previous Client List to See if any New Opportunities Exist.
  • Work with The Marketing/Operations Team to Develop Email Blasts and/or Mailers to Clients, Prospects, Architects, Builders, Interior Designers, Etc.

 

Measurements of Performance:

  • Overall Monthly Sales Quotas are Consistently Met or Exceeded.
  • Pipeline Continues to Stay Full and Maintain Annual Growth as Per Sales/Company Goals.
  • Client, Prospect or Peer Meetings Are Set, Scheduled and Committed.

  • Maintain a 90+% Close Rate with All Potentials and Clients Without Sacrificing Quality or Profit.
  • Maintain Consistent Communication with Current Clients, Prospects and eDesign Team Members to Ensure all Expectations are Adequately Managed.
  • Always Establish and Maintain a High Level of Quality and Workmanship Standards When Meeting with Clients.
  • Proposals are Accurate and Thorough with a Clearly Defined Project Scope.
  • Initial Proposed Profit Margins Are Maintained Throughout Each Project.
  • Always Sell eDesign as the Very Best in Hawaii.
  • Other Company Paperwork Requirements Are Met.
  • Additional Assigned Duties Are Performed in a Satisfactory Manner.

 

Requirements:

  • Licensed Driver and Clean Driving Record.
  • 5+ Years-Experience in Electrical Wiring, Home Electronics, Low-Voltage Wiring and/or Security Systems.
  • 2+ Years of Customer Service.
  • Thorough and Comprehensive Knowledge of A/V Distribution, Control Systems, Lighting Control, Motorized Window Treatments, Networks, Security and Surveillance.
  • Ability to Manage People and Processes.
  • Ability to Read and Understand Technical Specifications.
  • Ability to Perform Calculations, Analyze Reports and Engage in Strategic and Creative Problem Solving.
  • Proficient in English, Possessing Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Keep Abreast of Industry Trends and Installation Techniques.
  • Must Be Able to Maintain a Calm, Professional Demeanor in Stressful Situations.
  • Ability to travel across Maui and other outlying Hawai’ian islands and occasionally to the mainland for Sales Opportunities and/or Additional Training(s).
